I view working in healthcare as a privilege. I knew I had a passion for this field at a young age. After graduating from nursing school at University of North Florida, I worked in a variety of specialties including medical surgical, cardiac telemetry, cardiac PCU and presurgical. I went back to school and obtained my master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University in 2021. After that, I worked in a cardiology office as a nurse practitioner for 3 years before transitioning to Primary Care. I strive listen to, educate and comfort my patients and improve their quality of life through evidence-based practice. I would love to partner with you in your care!
Cynthia Akin, APRN
I am a committed family nurse practitioner who practices in Palm Bay, FL. I completed my bachelor's degree at Liberty University and earned a master's degree in family health nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago. I provide comprehensive care for patients across many age groups, managing acute and chronic conditions while prioritizing preventive health measures. I value a patient-centered approach, fostering open communication and individualized treatment plans. Devoted to holistic wellness, I try to integrate evidence-based approaches that promote the long-term health and wellness of the families I serve.
